Frequently Asked Questions About Distance Learning
WPA is offering two distance learning options:
Although students-teachers will be geographically distanced, the teacher will facilitate daily online classes, engaging learners’ to actively participate via online classes. Offline, students will be given activities or tasks that require more time to complete.
2. Modular Instruction (i.e. Homeschooling).
Homeschooling or modular learning is a more personalised method of instruction without teacher’s interaction. Materials and supervision are provided by our school which is accredited by DepEd. The facilitator of instruction are the parents with the guidance of our teachers.
Online classes will be conducted via Zoom, our virtual classroom platform. In addition, we have adopted Google Classroom as our learning management platform for children to submit their worksheets, assignments, videos, and other tasks. Likewise, the WPA Google Classroom will serve as the central repository of all class materials; every Friday teachers will post assignments, video recordings, and study sheets for parents to access and download. In the event your child misses class due to illness or internet problems, class materials will be available in WPA’s Google Classroom. We will provide additional information on our school technologies and their use before the beginning of the school year.
We recommend that your child uses a laptop or Ipad or any touch screen device because they’re easier to use. The device used must be equipped with a camera and a microphone. In addition, a printer is strongly recommended to print worksheets that reinforce learning for the child to perform offline.
A list of school supplies will be given upon enrolment

We do not recommend for students to wear headphones during classes since it is always beneficial for parents to listen in on the class. Instead of headphones, we do recommend for the student to be in an environment conducive to learning. A quiet room, free of distractions, music, or noise is highly recommended for the student to be able to focus during class.
